The Canar Provincial Institute for the Friendship and Solidarity with DPRK of Ecuador, in its statement on Jan. 5, said:

2012 marks the fifth anniversary of the publication of the October 4 Declaration, a programme for implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration.

To implement the June 15 Joint Declaration and the October 4 Declaration serves as the best way for achieving the reunification of Korea in an independent and peaceful way.

We are firmly convinced that the Korean people will make a breakthrough towards independent reunification, lifelong desire of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, by uniting closer under the banner of the inter-Korean declarations.
