S. Korean Organization Urges Authorities to Opt for Peace on Korean Peninsula

| Pyongyang, January 12 (KCNA) -- The Center for Peace and Disarmament of the Citizen's Solidarity for Democratic Society of south Korea in a statement on Tuesday urged the puppet authorities to opt for ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula. The present situation more clearly proves that it is impossible to defuse the tension and uneasiness on this land unless the armistice system is replaced by peace-keeping one, the statement said, and went on: If peace is to be ensured on the Korean Peninsula, the authorities should clarify their will to respect the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration and implement them and take measures for cooperation and exchange with the north. The statement urged the authorities to take military measures for detente. |
