Joint New Year Editorial of DPRK Supported in Different Countries
Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations in different countries released statements in support of the joint New Year editorial of the DPRK.

The National Salvation Front of Russia in its statement on Jan. 2 supported the DPRK's militant programme laid down in the joint editorial and expressed solidarity with the Korean people in their efforts to carry out the great historic tasks.

On the same day the Ukrainian "Treasured Sword of Songun" Association for the Study of the Juche Idea in its statement expressed belief that the Korean people who have the dear respected Kim Jong Un at the helm of the revolution would surely emerge victorious in the drive for carrying out the tasks set forth in the joint editorial this year and implementing the last instructions for national reunification of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il.

The France-Korea Friendship Association in its statement on Jan. 1 expressed support to the joint New Year editorial and stressed that it would launch a widespread signature campaign demanding the withdrawal of the U.S. forces from south Korea and the conclusion of a peace treaty for peace and security on the Korean Peninsula.

Christer Lundgren, chairman of the Sweden-Korea Friendship Association, and Than Tun, general director for Administrative Affairs of the Union of Myanmar Economic Holdings Limited, also released statements on Jan. 1 and 2 in support of the joint editorial.
