Kahak Pavilion, One of National Heritages
Pyongyang, January 6 (KCNA) -- Kahak Pavilion is located in Anbyon County, Kangwon Province, Korea.

According to "Haksong Book" dealing with the history of Anbyon, the pavilion was built in the period from 738 to 742 and rebuilt in 1486.

The pavilion, redolent of a crane, has a hip-saddle roof and belly-shaped double eaves.

The colorfully painted pavilion gives a glimpse of the developed architecture in Ri Dynasty (1392-1910). Its shape is in harmony with the surrounding view.

It was seriously damaged by U.S. bombing in 1951 during the Fatherland Liberation War, but restored to the original state in 1957. It has been preserved as one of the national heritages.
