DPRK Consistent in Its Foreign Policy
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- The DPRK remains unshakable in its stand on foreign policy.

The joint New Year editorial says, "We will, in the future, too, hold fast to our Party's principles of independence, friendship and peace and strive to develop relations of friendship with countries that respect our country's sovereignty."

The external relations of the DPRK have developed as never before thanks to the activities of its government based on this stand.

World people's support and solidarity for the Korean revolution have also been strengthened.

Capitalist countries which had pursued hostile policy toward the DPRK have established diplomatic relations and promoted exchange and cooperation with it in various fields.

The fact serves as a token of the validity and vitality of the DPRK's foreign policy contributing to a sound development of international relations and independence of the world.

Leader Kim Jong Il in his answers to questions raised by ITAR-TASS of Russia in October 2011 said that it is the consistent foreign policy of the DPRK to favorably develop relations with all nations friendly toward it.
