Kim Jong Il Praised for Leading Socialist Cause to Victory
Pyongyang, January 5 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Thursday dedicates a bylined article to the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's work "The Historical Lesson in Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party".

The work, published on Jan. 3, Juche 81(1992), clarifies the historic lesson of socialist construction and the validity of the general line of the Workers' Party of Korea on it.

20 years since the publication of the work are shining as an immortal chronicle in which the validity and vitality of socialist theory set forth by the leader have been clearly proved, the article notes, and goes on:

He strengthened the single-minded unity between the party and revolutionary ranks in every way and persistently adhered to the socialist principles. This was most valuable exploit as he provided a sure guarantee for the victory of Korean-style socialism.

Thanks to the warm loving care shown by him for the people the whole country turned into a big socialist family where all the people formed an invincible harmonious whole while absolutely believing and following only the party and the leader on the basis of comradeship and obligation.

The iron faith and will of Kim Jong Il frustrated every move of the imperialists against socialism and helped the revolutionary traits of creating and working our own way pervade the whole society.

He also put the national power on a highest level and laid all the foundations which would help the DPRK prosper on its own feet. This was the outstanding feat performed by him before the country and nation.

Today Korean-style socialism is making steady progress to a fresh higher level under the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un, the article notes, stressing the army and people of the DPRK will accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche, the socialist cause through generations by upholding the ideas and leadership of Kim Jong Un with single mind and intention.
