He urged the Darfur armed movements to put down their arms and engage in the peace process.

"Our doors and hearts are open for whoever wants and seeks for peace and whoever has not (been) subjugated to the foreign powers and international agenda," said al-Bashir.

He reiterated that Sudan's relationship with South Sudan would not end with the separation, saying that the separation would be a new beginning for further strengthening the bonds.
