Personages of Peru, U.S., Int'l Organizations and Representatives at UN Mourn Demise of Kim Jong Il
Pyongyang, January 2 (KCNA) -- Personages of different countries and representatives at UN paid condolatory visits to the DPRK mission in Peru and the DPRK permanent mission at UN on Dec. 27 and 28 last year on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Among them were personages of the Peruvian Communist Party, the People's Women Union, the Peru-Korea Friendship Institute for Study of the Juche Based Songun Policy and the Group for the Study of Kimilsungism of Peru, the Workers' World Party of the United States of America and the UNICEF and diplomatic envoys of Grenada, Peru and Cameroon at UN.

They presented floral baskets and bouquets before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and paid silent tribute.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the Peruvian Communist Party said the demise of Kim Jong Il was a great loss to not only the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people but the revolutionary parties and progressives of the whole world.

The senior adviser for the UN and Intergovernmental Affairs of the UNICEF expressed profound condolences on the demise of Kim Jong Il on behalf of the organization and on his own as Chinese.
