Condolences on Demise of Kim Jong Il Expressed by Russian Personages
Pyongyang, January 1 (KCNA) -- Personages of the Russian various circles paid condolatory visits to the DPRK missions in Russia on Dec. 26 and 27 on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Among them were personages of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Agriculture, the Ministry of Culture, the Academy of Sciences, the C.C., Communist Workers' Party of Russia-Revolutionary Communist Party, the Liberal Democratic Party, the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the Moscow City Government, the Khabarovsk City Administration, the Maritime Territorial Committee of the youth league, the Central Military Band of the Ministry of Defense, the Orchestra of the 21st Century of Russia, Far Eastern State University and companies.

They laid floral baskets and bunches of flowers before the portraits of Kim Jong Il and paid profound respects to him.

The secretary of the Moscow City Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation said that he was convinced that the cause to which Kim Jong Il dedicated all his life would be successfully carried forward by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The mayor of Khabarovsk City noted that Kim Jong Il's sudden demise is a great loss to Korea and Russia. Kim Jong Il was a close friend of Russia and statesman who greatly contributed to developing the Russia-DPRK relations, he added.

Meanwhile, the first secretary of the Irkutsk Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, the vice-minister of Science, Education, Labor and Economic Development of the Irkutsk Regional Government and the director of the Labor Department of the Regional Government paid condolatory visits to a DPRK construction company in Irkutsk Region on Dec. 26 and 27.
