Koreans Vow to Settle Accounts with S. Korean Regime

Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- Upon receiving a statement released by the DPRK National Defence Commission on Friday, Korean people have resolved to settle accounts with the south Korean regime for the hideous crime it committed during the mourning period in the DPRK.

Kong Myong Song, director of an institute belonging to the Academy of Social Sciences, told KCNA:

"When the Korean people were suffering a great national loss, the south Korean puppets perpetrated such a rash act as hurting the grief-stricken compatriots.

From the olden times, the Korean nation has considered it as the rule of conduct to share sorrow with neighbor suffering misfortune and offer assistance.

But the south Korean group of traitors, far from expressing condolences, were pleased to talk about 'contingency' and 'change of social system in the north'. How can we call such traitors our compatriots?

We will never pardon them for their anti-national and inhumane act."

Ri Chol Myong, 27, a student of Kim Il Sung University, accused the south Korean regime of trying to abuse the nation's misfortune as an opportunity for attaining its purpose.

"Nothing can break our single-hearted unity around the headquarters of the revolution. We will settle accounts with the south Korean group of traitors for its heinous crimes," he added.
