Servicepersons Vow to Settle Accounts with S. Korea for Crimes

Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Upon receiving a statement released by the DPRK National Defence Commission (NDC) on Friday, servicepersons have renewed their resolve to settle accounts with the south Korean regime for the crimes it committed during the mourning period in the DPRK.

Jong Il Nam, an officer of the Korean People's Army (KPA), told KCNA that it is amply justifiable that the NDC stated the DPRK would have no dealings with the Lee Myung Bak regime.

"The Lee Myung Bak group of traitors is our sworn enemy as it hurt the dignity of the supreme leadership of the DPRK and talked about 'contingency in the north after driving the relations between the north and the south of Korea to catastrophe," he said, adding:

"The KPA soldiers are determined to turn the sea of tears shed by the Korean people for the nation's greatest loss into that of retaliatory fire to punish the traitors for their crimes."

A servicewoman, Han Myong Ok, said, "There is no rival in the world to the KPA which has become an invincible revolutionary army under the leadership of Kim Jong Il, illustrious commander, and to our people fully prepared to devotedly defend the socialist system."
