Memorial Services Held in Russia, Austria

Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Memorial services were held by Russian and Austrian organizations on Dec. 25 and 26 on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il. They were the Saratov Regional Committee of the Communist Workers' Party of Russia-Revolutionary Communist Party, the Saratov Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Policy and the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna, Austria.

Present there were personages of different circles and people in those countries.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Kim Jong Il.

The secretary of the Saratov Regional Committee of the Communist Workers' Party of Russia-Revolutionary Communist Party and other speakers said that Kim Jong Il was intensely loyal to the idea and cause of President Kim Il Sung, noting that the world progressives are expressing deep condolences on his sudden demise.

They expressed belief that the Korean people would overcome their bitter grief and successfully carry forward the cause of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, closely rallied around the Workers' Party of Korea headed by the dear respected Kim Jong Un.

The chief of the Group of Youth for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Vienna and other speakers praised Kim Jong Il as the great leader and tender-hearted father of the Korean people who had wisely guided the party, state and army for many years.
