Russian and US News Agencies on Korean People's Faith

Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Russian and U.S. news agencies introduced the servicepersons and people of the DPRK mourning the untimely passing of leader Kim Jong Il in grief and their faith to remain loyal to the leadership of the dear respected Kim Jong Un on Dec. 21 and 24.

The Russian ITAR-TASS said that memorial events are taking place at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace where the bier of Kim Jong Il lies and before his portraits and mosaics showing his career and activities in the DPRK.

The news agency noted that the army and people of the DPRK grieved over the demise of Kim Jong Il due to the fatigue pent up in the course of ceaseless field guidance, adding that they are renewing their pledge to faithfully uphold Kim Jong Un, the only leader for them.

It conveyed the accounts of reports released by the DPRK media that the cause of Kim Jong Il is sure to be carried forward and accomplished by Kim Jong Un, outstanding leader of the party and the army.

AP reported that the army and the people of the DPRK vowed in bitter tears to hold General Kim Jong Un in high esteem as their supreme commander.

Meanwhile, the Dec. 26 issue of Nepali newspaper Charcha carried an article contributed by its editor-in-chief on the demise of Kim Jong Il.
