Pyongyang, December 29 (KCNA) -- Austrian Federal President Heinz Fischer expressed deep condolences on the passing away of leader Kim Jong Il.

Upon his authorization, the assistant to the president for external policy paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK embassy in Vienna on December 27 and observed a moment's silence before the portrait of Kim Jong Il.

He made an entry in the condolence book.
