Memorial Services Held in Different Countries

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- A memorial service was held in Russia on Dec. 24 under the sponsorship of Karelia-DPRK Friendship Association on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

It was attended by members of the Friendship Association, the Movement for Supporting the Army and the Russian Veterans Fund.

Viktor Yegorov, chairman of the friendship association, said that Kim Jong Il's life was the one of the great man who devoted himself to the prosperity of the country and the happiness of the people, adding that his demise was a bitter loss to the world progressives.

Memorial services were also held in Nepal and Mongolia on Dec. 25.

They were attended by personages of the Unified Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist), the New Front of the People's Republic of Nepal, the Constituent Assembly, the Ministry of Land Reform and Management of the Nepal Government, the Study Forum for Self-Reliance of Nepal, the Nepal Journalist Association for the Study of the Juche Idea and Songun Politics, the Afro-Asian People's Solidarity Committee of Nepal, those of the College of Culture of Mongolia and masses.

The participants laid floral baskets and bouquets before the portrait of Kim Jong Il.

The memorial service in Nepal adopted a message to the dear respected Kim Jong Un.
