Diplomatic Envoys and Int'l Bodies DPRK Embassies

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Diplomatic envoys of different countries and personages of international bodies mourned the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

Ambassadors and charges d'affaires a.i. of different countries to Russia, Laos, Iran, Cambodia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Singapore, Libya, South Africa, Uganda, Mexico, Bulgaria, Uzbekistan, Austria, Switzerland, Sweden, Germany and Italy paid consolatory visits to the DPRK embassies between Dec. 20 and 27.

Diplomatic envoys of various countries to UN Office and international bodies at Geneva and personages of the WHO and the WIPO paid condolatory visits to the DPRK permanent mission between Dec. 21 and 26.

Among them were diplomatic envoys of Cuba, Syria, Mongolia, Singapore, Indonesia, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Algeria, Tanzania, Australia, Belarus, Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan.

The Egyptian and Venezuelan ambassadors to Vietnam, the Lao ambassador to Mongolia, the Egyptian ambassador to Nepal, the Burkina Faso ambassador to Nigeria and the Guinea-Bissau and Ghanaian ambassadors and the Sierra Leone charge d'affaires a.i. to Guinea, too, paid condolatory visits to DPRK embassies.

Meanwhile, the Vatican ambassador to Uganda and the representative of the League of Arab States to India paid condolatory visits to the DPRK embassies and the Liberian mission in Rome sent a note to the DPRK mission.
