Kim Jong Il Will Always be with Us (5)

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- Youth Street in East Pyongyang is associated with footprints left by leader Kim Jong Il during his forced march for field guidance as he always devoted efforts for the improvement of the standard of people's living.

He visited the light industrial factories in this area including the Pyongyang Textile Mill and the Pyongyang Daily Necessities Factory in his lifetime and made indefatigable efforts.

The workers bid last farewell to Kim Jong Il as they effected a great surge in production, greatly honored and excited to welcome him to their worksites.

Cho Ok Sun, 52, a woman worker of the Pyongyang Cornstarch Factory, said: "General! I can never believe you passed away. General can not take leave of people. How lamentable it is. General can never leave us behind at a time when the appearance of a thriving nation in which the people will be well-off is at hand. We can't believe this loss."

Ro Tu Nam, 31, workshop head of the Pyongyang Elevator Factory, said: It was none other than the General who made ceaseless forced marches for field guidance without a moment's rest by taking so much pain for improving the standard of people's living. I will contribute to glorifying Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses with increased production, considering his noble personality as a mirror of my life and struggle.
