Kim Jong Il Will Always be with Us (1)

Pyongyang, December 28 (KCNA) -- The servicepersons and people of the DPRK are at the most painful moment on Dec. 28 as they are bidding last farewell to leader Kim Jong Il, a peerlessly great man and father of the nation.

National flags were hoisted at half-mast in streets of Pyongyang. Seen there are streamers reading "We mourn the demise of the great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il in humblest reverence" and "The great leader Comrade Kim Jong Il will live forever".

The streets from the Ryonghung Intersection leading to the Kumsusan Memorial Palace to the April 25 House of Culture were crowded with servicepersons, citizens and school youth and children.

They are overcome with an indescribable sorrow as they have to accept this biggest loss as a reality though they can't believe.

Among them are soldiers, old doctors who look back on the unforgettable days of happy life under his loving care and bitterly weeping school youth and students.

The crowd broke into bitter lamentation as the motorcade of the hearse rolled into the streets.

"Fatherly General, don't go please!", "Never, never!" "Come back please!"

Even the land, rivers and trees seemed to tremble in grief at the sound of bitter cries made by servicepersons and people.

They bemoaned, their knees on the ground, as they never thought of socialist Korea without Kim Jong Il and their existence without him.

They felt extremely regretful, looking up to the portrait of Kim Jong Il, his face sending a broad smile like the sun towards his beloved people.
