Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad sent a wreath to the bier of leader Kim Jong Il to express deep condolences over his demise.

The wreath was laid before his bier at the Kumsusan Memorial Palace by Haissam Saad, charge d'affaires a.i. of the Syrian embassy here, today.
