Pyongyang, December 27 (KCNA) -- The Youth League of the African National Congress of South Africa issued a statement on Dec. 22 and Hasanul Huq Inu, chairman of the Central Executive Committee of the Bangladesh National Socialist Party, and personages of Ecuador released statements on Dec. 21 and 22 on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Youth League in its statement said that the DPRK turned into a political and ideological power, a military power and a scientific and technological power under the wise guidance of Kim Jong Il.

His immortal soul will always inspire the Korean people in invariably holding aloft the banner of Songun, the statement noted.

Hasanul Huq Inu in his statement lauded Kim Jong Il as a prominent thinker and theoretician who led the WPK and the army and people of the DPRK along the road of steady victories with his profound ideas and theories and extraordinary leadership, as he was possessed of all aspects of personality and qualifications on the highest level as a great man.

Julio Ballesteros Espin, chairman of the Ecuador-Guaranda Institute for Friendship and Cultural Solidarity with the Korean People, said the demise of Kim Jong Il, the most outstanding statesman of the 21st century and guardian of socialism, is an irrevocable loss to the socialists and progressive people in the world.

Though Kim Jong Il passed away, the feats performed by him for the Korean revolution and the world socialism will always be remembered by humankind, he stressed.

The chairman of the committee of supporters for the government of Pichincha Province in Ecuador expressed conviction that the Korean people would overcome the present sorrow with courage and successfully carry forward the noble intention of Kim Jong Il, true to the leadership of Kim Jong Un, their supreme leader.
