Pyongyang, December 26 (KCNA) -- Yuri Fedotov, director-general of the UN Office at Vienna, Thursday paid a condolatory visit to the DPRK mission in Vienna on the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

He paid a silent tribute to the memory of Kim Jong Il before his portrait.

He wrote in the condolence book that he, on behalf of the Office, expresses heartfelt condolences on the demise of Kim Jong Il and extends sympathy to the people of the DPRK.

He hoped that the Korean people would overcome the present sorrow and difficulties and contribute to the world peace and stability.
