Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Vasile Orleanu, chairman of the Supreme Council of the Socialist Party of Romania, and members of its Leadership and the director of the Romanian Institute for International Studies, on Tuesday visited the DPRK embassy in Bucharest to mourn the demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

They laid a wreath before the portrait of Kim Jong Il and observed a moment's silence.

Vasile Orleanu said in profound sorrow:

Kim Jong Il was the greatest man who devoted his all to the happiness and prosperity of the Korean people and the cause of global independence all his life, true to the behests of President Kim Il Sung.

It was thanks to the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il that the U.S. and other hostile forces dared not hurt the dignity of the DPRK and peace and stability could be ensured on the Korean Peninsula.

The Korean people will surely overcome the indescribable sorrow over the demise of Kim Jong Il and emerge victorious in the struggle to build a thriving socialist nation as they are led by Kim Jong Un, another great leader of the Korean people.

The director of the above-said institute noted that the future of the DPRK will be in safe hands and it will win victory after victory as it is led by Kim Jong Un, successor to Kim Jong Il.
