Floral Tribute Paid to Kim Jong Suk

Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the bust of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk in the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery on Mt. Taesong on Saturday on her 94th birth anniversary.

A wreath sent by Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, was seen standing before her bust.

Present at the wreath-laying ceremony were senior officials of party, state and armed forces organs Kim Yong Nam, Choe Yong Rim, Ri Yong Ho, Kim Yong Chun, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of party, armed forces and power bodies, the Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and the Korean People's Internal Security Forces and working people from all walks of life and youths and students here.

Laid before her bust were wreaths in the name of the Central Committee of the WPK and the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

Also placed there were wreaths in the name of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces, the Ministry of People's Security, working people's organizations, ministries, national institutions, units of the KPA, educational, health and media institutions, revolutionary schools, the joint national organization of the Korean Children's Union and the party and power bodies, factories and others in Pyongyang.

Participants paid silent tribute to Kim Jong Suk, looking back on her great revolutionary career.

Meanwhile, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-imperialist National Democratic Front laid a bouquet before her bust and observed a moment's silence.

Floral baskets were placed before her statues in Kim Jong Suk County, Hoeryong City, at Kim Jong Suk Naval University and Kim Jong Suk General Military Academy on the same day.
