South Korean Media Reports Mourning Demise of Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, December 24 (KCNA) -- South Korean media keep reporting about the army and people of the DPRK paying respect to leader Kim Jong Il in bitter grief upon the sad news of his passing that came like a bolt from the blue.

MBC, CBS and KBS of south Korea from Dec. 20 to 22 reported that Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, together with senior officials of the party, state and armed forces bodies, visited the bier of Kim Jong Il to express condolences in the bitterest grief.

Reports also said that diplomatic envoys, representatives of international organizations and military attaches corps of various countries in the DPRK mourned the passing of Kim Jong Il at his bier in the Kumsusan Memorial Palace.

Kim Jong Un stood guard beside the bier of Kim Jong Il together with members of the national funeral committee, the reports said, adding he expressed his deep thanks to diplomatic envoys, representatives of international organizations and the military attaches corps of different countries.

Officials of the party, armed forces and power bodies, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and servicepersons burst out sobbing before the bier of Kim Jong Il lamenting for his demise, reports said.

They also reported different countries of the world were sending messages of condolences to mourn demise of Kim Jong Il.

Radios said in detail Pyongyangites wail in grief following the sudden loss of the father of the nation.
