Foreign Diplomats Praise Feats of Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, December 22 (KCNA) -- Diplomatic envoys and military attaches of different countries here made entries in the mourners' book after mourning before the bier of leader Kim Jong Il.

Cambodian Ambassador Chhorn Hay wrote that Marshal Kim Jong Il, father of the Korean people, made great efforts for the building of a thriving nation and the peaceful reunification of the country.

Palestinian Ambassador Ismail Ahmed Mohamed Hasan recalled the invariable support rendered by Kim Jong Il to the Palestinian people in their cause, expressing the conviction that the friendly relations between the peoples of the two countries would steadily grow stronger.

Pakistani Ambassador Arif Mahmood wrote that HE Kim Jong Il was a close friend of the government and people of Pakistan, adding that his feats would last forever.

Syrian Charge d'Affaires A.I. Haissam Saad wrote that Kim Jong Il was the most distinguished leader, expressing belief that the Korean people united close around Kim Jong Un, vice-chairman of the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea, would achieve greater prosperity.

Military Attache of the Iranian Embassy Hassan Reza Husseini stressed that the demise of Kim Jong Il is a great loss not only to the Korean people but to the world progressives, adding he will always live in the hearts of the Korean and world peoples.

Military Attache of the Vietnamese Embassy Nguyen Van Lich expressed belief that the party, army and people of the DPRK would overcome sorrow over the demise of Kim Jong Il and build a thriving nation without fail under the guidance of Kim Jong Un.

Military Attache of the Egyptian Embassy Sharif Rifat sincerely hoped that Kim Jong Un, great successor, would win victory in the building of a thriving nation, true to the noble intention of Kim Jong Il.
