Important Days of DPRK Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- Events took place in different countries between Dec. 13 and 15 to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

They included seminars on feats, book and photo exhibitions and a film show in Russia, India and Cambodia.

On display in their venues were books and photos showing the Songun revolutionary leadership feats of Kim Jong Il and the greatness of woman commander of Mt. Paektu.

Appreciated at the show was Korean film "Arms of Korea".

Attending the events were personages of the Russian Association for the Study of the DPRK of Asia-Africa College under Moscow State University, the Indian Society for the Study of Works of Kim Jong Il and the Cambodian newspaper Pracheachon and popular masses.

Pavel Reshakov, president of the Russian association, said at a seminar it is thanks to the Songun politics of Kim Jong Il that socialism could be reliably defended and miracles and innovations wrought in all fields of the DPRK.

S. P. Pathak, chairman of the Indian society, and other speakers noted that the KPA has grown to be the matchless army strong in ideology and faith and fully equipped with powerful offensive and defensive means thanks to the ceaseless field inspection by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il.

The deputy editor-in-chief of the Cambodian newspaper referred to the feats of Kim Jong Suk, stressing that her brilliant career and exploits will remain forever in the hearts of the Korean people and her wish will surely be translated into reality.
