WPK and Korean People's Struggle Supported by Int'l Meeting

Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- The 13th International Meeting of Communist and Workers' Parties, held in Greece from Dec. 9 to 11, expressed full support and solidarity with the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people in the efforts to build a thriving nation.

A resolution adopted at the meeting said that the Korean people set a grand goal for building a thriving socialist nation and are pushing forward the general offensive for its materialization under the leadership of the WPK. It went on:

The WPK called for effecting a decisive turn in building an economic power and improving the standard of people's living by giving spur to the light industry again while consolidating the position of a politico-ideological and military power already built, this significant year reviewing the 100-year history of Kim Il Sung's Korea.

In response to this militant call, the Korean people have speeded up the general advance for improving the standard of people's living and building a thriving nation under the slogan "Korea Does What It Is Determined to Do!"

The WPK has reliably defended the peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and Northeast Asia, shattering the moves of the U.S.-led imperialist allied forces to stifle the DPRK. It is now playing a big role in realizing the cause of socialism, the human cause of independence.

The Korean people will surely emerge victorious in the just cause of defending the peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and opening the gate to a thriving nation as there is the wise guidance of the WPK with leader Kim Jong Il as its general secretary.
