Pyongyang, December 17 (KCNA) -- All the officials, party members and other working people should push ahead with the industrial revolution of the new century and usher in a rosy morrow of Songun Korea under the guidance of the great Workers' Party of Korea.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday makes this call in an editorial.

The industrial revolution in the new century is like a statement declaring that the socialist economy of the DPRK is entering the highest level of modernization and civilization and an eruption of the strong stamina of the DPRK dashing towards the peak of the world in reliance on its own inexhaustible intellectual potentials, it says, adding:

This revolution is an inevitable demand for building a socialist economic power at present, a course through which the economy of the DPRK has made drastic change in its development under the Workers' Party of Korea's far-sighted and wise guidance based on science and a Korean-style technological revolution that has been accelerated by superiority and might of socialism.

The DPRK has sought to solve everything by developing, accumulating and using intellectual resources in a planned and purposeful manner under the guidance of the party and state as well as giving free rein to collective power of all the people including scientists, technicians and producers. This is the industrial revolution in the new century what the DPRK calls a great cause.

The industrial revolution is a turning point meant for a fresh upturn in quality in the Juche-oriented industry and a historic event that gives spurs to the advance of the DPRK towards the emergence of a thriving nation.

The DPRK has the self-supporting economy with solid foundation and tremendous potentials provided and accumulated in the protracted historical struggle. It also has a huge army of intellectuals, advantageous socialist education system and almighty heroic people that are able to carry out the historic cause of industrial revolution.

All the officials, party members and other working people should turn out in the industrial revolution to put the national economy on a higher stage of development in terms of quality and more strikingly demonstrate the might of single-minded unity of Songun Korea and its spirit of great innovation and rapid progress.
