Hoeryong Revolutionary Site

Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- The Hoeryong Revolutionary Site is situated in North Hamgyong Province, the DPRK.

Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, was born on December 24, Juche 6 (1917) and spent her childhood there till the spring of the year 1922.

Her statue was unveiled there on September 22, Juche 58 (1969.)

Preserved at her old home are an iron pot, tableware, dinner-table, chipped water jar, wooden basin and iron fire pot used by her poor family.

Seen in the site are a shallow well, washing place, mill and Mangyang Ferry where there are a monument to her leaving the homeland with her family and a ferryboat.

A museum and monument were built in the site to convey her revolutionary activities.
