Punishment of "Government" and GNP Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 14 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Democracy, People's Life, Peaceful Reunification and Sovereignty of south Korea on Monday made public an appeal urging the struggle to punish the dictatorial regime and the "Grand National Party".

Recently in south Korea such deeds against democracy have been committed one after another as the GNP's sudden passage of "motion calling for the ratification of the Free Trade Agreement", which threatens the people's rights to existence, and the cyber attack on the Central Election Commission, the appeal noted.

The people's wrath at despotism by the GNP and the power body is skyscraping and the candlelight protests are sweeping south Korea as a whole, it said, adding:

If the forces, engrossed in railroading and destroying the order of society, are not removed from the political arena for good, the minimum right to existence, elementary democratic rights and, furthermore, the desire for peaceful reunification will be trampled down more ruthlessly.

What awaits the dictatorial regime is the stern punishment by the people, the appeal said, calling for developing the candlelight raised by the people in every part of south Korea into a mammoth torch to drive out the GNP and the "government".
