Kangwon Province Take Lead in Producing Organic Fertilizers

Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- Co-op farms in Kangwon Province in the eastern part of Korea are directing big efforts to making organic fertilizers.

The economically efficient fertilizers include aminoacid-micronutrient compound fertilizer and compost fertilizer.

The fertilizers help crops fully absorb nitrogen and kalium, facilitate their growth and raise the efficiency of chemical fertilizers.

They also raise the humus level of soil and prevent soil's oxidation.

About 1,000 compost fertilizer producers have been built throughout the province this year alone.

The Pisan Co-op Farm in Anbyon County succeeded in making the compound fertilizer in an industrial way and popularized the method throughout the country.

Munchon City and Kosan County are taking the lead in making those kinds of fertilizers.
