Pyongyang, December 10 (KCNA) -- Member nations of the African Union are strengthening cooperation in trade.

A meeting of trade ministers of the AU was recently held in Accra, Ghana with over 30 trade ministers and senior officials of Africa attending.

Discussed there were the matters of calling for the harmonization of standards, ensuring that tariffs were harmonized, adopting similar processes and procedure so that it becomes easy to move across one border to another, among many others and of improving infrastructure in favor of trade development.

It adopted a roadmap for an African Free Trade Area to be achieved within the next six years.
