Pyongyang, December 8 (KCNA) -- The Chongnyu Restaurant is located on the banks of the picturesque Pothong River in Pyongyang.

The restaurant is popular for serving Pyongyang cold noodle, sinsollo (dish in cooking brazier), meat with cooked vegetables, roast meat, broiled eel, mung-bean and potato pancakes and mullet soup.

Pyongyang cold noodle, sinsollo, meat with cooked vegetables and roast meat are most popular among the dishes.

President Kim Il Sung visited the restaurant on December 6, Juche 70 (1981) and named it "Chongnyu Restaurant".

Leader Kim Jong Il paid deep concern to the construction and operation of the restaurant. A few years ago he took measures to reconstruct it as required by the new century.
