International Meeting Supports Korean People's Just Cause

Pyongyang, December 6 (KCNA) -- The 3rd international meeting against imperialism was held in Dhaka, Bangladesh from Nov. 27 to 29.

Attending it were delegates of political parties and organizations and personages of all social standings from nearly 30 countries including the DPRK as well as citizens.

The Dhaka declaration and a special resolution on the DPRK were adopted there.

The declaration denounced the U.S. for scheming to stifle socialist Korea, and strongly demanded it withdraw the hostile policy toward the DPRK it has persistently pursued for over half a century. It also expressed support for the Korean people's cause of national reunification.

Voicing hope for the Korean people's reunification cause, the resolution said:

The United States should withdraw its hostile policy toward the DPRK and renounce the annual military exercises for aggression in the Korean Peninsula.

For the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea, the U.S. should withdraw its armed forces for aggression from south Korea and accept the DPRK's proposal for replacing the Armistice Agreement with a peace agreement.

We fully support the Korean people in their efforts to achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country under the banner of the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and the October 4 declaration.
