Tehran, December 2 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Iranian Foreign Ministry in an interview with a news agency on Nov. 30 resolutely rejected the Western threat of sanctions against his country.

Most of the Western countries have insignificant economic relations with Iran and have no financial ties with it, he said, adding that the sanctions touted by them are part of the psychological warfare.

The Iranian people are firmly taking the road chosen by themselves in face of the U.S. and Western sanctions of past decades, he said.
