Moscow, December 1 (KCNA) -- Russia set off taking steps to cope with the U.S. moves to deploy the missile defense system in Europe.

A radar station in Kaliningrad Region recently entered into combat duty earlier than planned.

Touching on this, Russian President Dmitri Medvedev noted that this long-range radar station is included in the missile attack early warning system.

He ordered the Ministry of Defense to settle all the problems needed for operating the station.
