Pyongyang, November 30 (KCNA) -- A national symposium on medical science took place at the Grand People's Study House from Nov. 28 to 30 to mark the 60th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's work "The Immediate Tasks before Health Workers".

The symposium was divided into panels of surgery, internal medicine, Koryo medicine, hygienic and anti-epidemic work, pharmacy and fundamental medicine.

The participants heard 380 papers dealing with the successes gained by scientists, teachers, researchers and health workers in their preventive and curative medical care service.

Many papers were highly acclaimed for their high clinical significance and value in introduction.
