Pyongyang, November 29 (KCNA) -- The friendly and cooperative relations between Cambodia and the DPRK are historic and special relations as they were forged by Great King Norodom Sihanouk and Generalissimo Kim Il Sung, the great leader of the Korean people. Cambodian King Norodom Sihamoni said this when meeting with the DPRK ambassador to Cambodia on Nov. 24.

The traditional relations have been steadily developed thanks to Marshal Kim Jong Il, the great leader of the Korean people, the king said, adding:

I am convinced that the friendly and cooperative relations between the two countries would grow stronger.

I extend heartfelt thanks to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il for their great support and encouragement to the great king and the Cambodian people.

I highly appreciate and sincerely congratulate the fraternal Korean people upon their great achievements in socialist construction under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.

The Cambodian government and people will as ever positively support and encourage the Korean people's cause of building a thriving socialist nation.
