Police's Cruel Repression of Protesters Censured

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- A spokesperson for the Democratic Labor Party of south Korea issued a commentary on Nov. 24 in denunciation of the police's murderous violence.

The police are getting hell-bent, bereft of reason, on the repression of the protesters standing against the conclusion of the "Free Trade Agreement", the commentary said, adding:

Typical of such deeds is the fact that the police fired water cannons toward the participants in the candlelight rally and took away them at random on Nov. 22.

The use of this repressive equipment in the chilly weather caused heavy damage as skin mauling.

This shows that the police have defined the citizens as enemy to attack them.

The people's will against the FTA can never be broken with any violence, the commentary stated, demanding that the head of the Seoul district police office, close to the chief executive, step down at once, taking the blame for directing the recent crackdown.
