Beijing, November 25 (KCNA) -- Chinese State Councilor Liu Yandong called for developing Beijing opera.

Speaking at a meeting with artistes of Beijing opera held on Nov. 21, Liu said they should implement the spirit of the Sixth Plenum of the 17th Central Committee of the Communist Party of China and steadily develop Beijing opera representing the Chinese cultural heritage.
