Pohyon Temple's 13-storeyed Pagoda

Pyongyang, November 26 (KCNA) -- A 13-storeyed octagonal pagoda, erected in the late period of Koryo kingdom (918-1392), has been preserved in the Pohyon Temple in Mt. Myohyang, one of the famous mountains of Korea.

The granite-made pagoda is 8.58 meters high and its 13-storey body 6.58 meters high.

Each side of the octagonal stylobate is 1.2 meters long.

The three-storey stylobate is patterned with lotus flowers.

The pagoda is capped with a bronze decoration.

The pagoda has 104 windbells tied with eaves of the roof.

It is one of the cultural heritages of the nation.
