Ex-Minister of Unification Accused of His Traitorous Remarks--Minju Joson

Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- Ex-Minister of Unification of south Korea Hyon In Thaek at a recent lecture branded the DPRK as a "stumbling block" to the stability of the Korean Peninsula, holding it responsible for the "frayed south-north ties" as well as the "Cheonan warship and Yonphyong Island cases”.

He even said "no improvement of the north-south relations is possible without settling the north's nuclear issue".

A bylined commentary of Minju Joson Friday dismisses traitor Hyon's remarks as an agitation against reunification.

His reckless remarks were prompted by intentions to cover up his crimes of having bedeviled the north-south relations against the desire of the nation and demand of the times, and instigate a handful of anti-reunification elements to confrontation with fellow countrymen.

Instead of drawing lessons from his dismissal from the minister of Unification, the result of the south Korean people's campaign, Hyon blamed the instability of the Korean Peninsula on the DPRK.

This was aimed to imbue the south Korean people with hostility and hatred to compatriots.

What arouses serious concern is the wrong stand of the south Korean conservative authorities patronizing traitor Hyon.

The puppet authorities let Hyon deliver a "keynote speech" in an official appearance and absurdly call for solution to north's nuclear issue before those concerned of Chongwadae and Ministry of Unification.

This is a clear proof that the "flexibility of north policy" advocated by the authorities is, in essence, nothing different from the previous confrontation policy.

All facts show that the south Korean conservative authorities remain unchanged in their fundamental stand towards the fellow countrymen despite "flexibility" claimed by them, and that the north-south relations can never improve unless they make a switchover in their confrontation policy.
