Nigerian Organization Lauds Feats of Kim Jong Suk

Pyongyang, November 25 (KCNA) -- The Nigerian National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea on Nov. 16 posted on its Internet homepage an article titled "All her life dedicated to women's emancipation" to mark the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

Kim Jong Suk, praised as an anti-Japanese war hero, is a woman revolutionary as she devoted all her life to the social emancipation of women and the development of women's movement, the article said, adding:

She led the Korean women to turn out in the struggle for the country's liberation and women's emancipation in the period of the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule over Korea.

After the liberation of Korea she aroused the women to the building of a new society while actively assisting President Kim Il Sung.

She clarified the view that the first duty of the Democratic Women's Union of Korea was for the women to strive to establish the DPRK, the main political task of the Workers' Party of Korea.

She told women's union officials that the Union should contain in its platform such matters as completely freeing the women from colonial and feudal exploitation and enhancing their politico-economic position, emancipating the women from evil feudal practices of despising them and century-old ignorance.

The DWUK should become a political organization of women working hard to build a new country, she said, adding that the women in unity can exert great strength.

The noble exploits performed by her for women's emancipation and development of women movement are shining long with socialist Korea always emerging victorious.
