Mun Kang Sun, Frontrunner Weaver

Pyongyang, November 24 (KCNA) -- Mun Kang Sun, a weaver at the Pyongyang Textile Mill, is a frontrunner in effecting an upsurge in the textile industry.

She, 29, has overfulfilled the yearly plan over the past 13 years, weaving more than 555 000 meters of cloth.

She began working at the mill from Juche 87 (1998) after graduating from a secondary school. She learned knotting thread in a short time.

She operated eight looms two months after joining the mill, repairing her machines by herself.

She was the first to carry out the yearly plan in her shop that year,

In 2009 when a 150-day campaign was conducted, she operated 12 machines, weaving 1 700 meters of cloth, much more than the norm, on a daily average. She is now working 21 machines.
