Important Days of DPRK Observed Abroad

Pyongyang, November 23 (KCNA) -- Meetings and film shows took place in Nepal, Russia, the Czech Republic and Nigeria on Nov. 14 and 15 to mark the 20th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army and the 94th birth anniversary of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero.

Korean films shown included "Fireworks for a Thriving Nation".

The chairman of the National Press Club of Nepal and other speakers said that with Kim Jong Il's assumption of supreme commandership the KPA has grown to be a matchless army which any formidable imperialist enemies dare not to provoke.

The revolutionary career of Kim Jong Suk serves as a noble example to be followed by all the progressive women of the world including Nepal, they stressed.

The deputy director-general of a company in Russia said that the film show helped them know well about tremendous economic potentials of the DPRK, adding that they were deeply moved to see the Korean people dynamically advancing along the road of socialism.

The signal successes made in economic construction of the DPRK are a fruition of the Songun politics pursued by Kim Jong Il, he said.
