Chinese Audience Thank Korean Artistes

Beijing, November 19 (KCNA) -- The Korean opera "Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai" was staged before full houses in Shanghai on Nov. 17 and 18.

Among the audience were personages of different strata, citizens and participants of the 13th Chinese Shanghai international art festival.

They raised cheers and applauses in excitement.

A vice-mayor of Shanghai said:

I am pleased that the opera was staged in our city.

It is amazing that such an excellent opera was created and completed in a short period.

I am sure that the performance will contribute to developing the exchanges between the two countries to a higher phase.

An official of Shanghai management bureau of cultural broadcasting and TV film expressed his excited feelings as follows:

Korean artistes created and completed the opera in a perfect way.

The performance is contributing to the development of friendly ties between the peoples of the two countries.

A Shanghai citizen said he could hardly find a word to express his impressions as the performance was fairly wonderful.

He said:

I love the art of Korea.

The feelings of friendship between China and the DPRK are further deepening.

An inspector general of art of a Shanghai dancing group noted:

The opera is pretty fascinating.

During the performance I could feel the warm feelings of the peoples of the two countries.

It was perfect one.

I extend thanks to the Korean artistes for the spectacular performance.
