Beijing, November 17 (KCNA Correspondent) -- I hope that exchange and visits would become more brisk between youths of China and the DPRK, said Vice-President of China Xi Jinping.

Xi, member of the Standing Committee of the Political Bureau of the C.C., the Communist Party of China, Thursday met and had a talk with the visiting Korean youth friendly delegation led by Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the C.C., the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing.

The Sino-DPRK friendship has steadily developed in depth over the past 60 odd years, Xi said, adding:

The bilateral relations of friendship have made fresh progress under the deep care of the top leaders of the two countries.

It is of importance in the development of the China-DPRK friendly and cooperative relations to strengthen exchange and cooperation between youth organizations of the two countries.

Exchange and visits between the youths of the two countries are a work of strategic significance to lay a solid foundation for developing the bilateral friendship through generations under the complicated international situation in the new century.
