Pyongyang, November 19 (KCNA) -- The Teachers Union of south Korea (Jongyojo) released a statement on November 16 denouncing the authorities' base moves to stifle Jongyojo.

It has been recently disclosed that the authorities illegally recorded, through a juvenile organization, the contents of education by teachers under the union, and then revised the recorded contents to assert that they conducted leftist education, the statement noted, saying:

This shocking case is a political and deliberate, excessive plot of the ruling forces to stifle Jongyojo.

We can not repress astonishment and wrath at the fact that the authorities mobilized even a juvenile organization in a bid to quail the progressive teachers' activities.

The statement urged the authorities to fully reveal the truth of the case under the eyes of the people.
