Cuba Rejects U.S. Double-Standard Policy

Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- The Cuban permanent representative to the UN, addressing a meeting of the UNSC on Nov. 14, strongly denounced the U.S. for applying double standard in fighting terrorism.

He denounced the American government for insisting on including Cuba in the list of State sponsor of international terrorism.

He also supported the position of the Non-Aligned Movement against unilateral lists that accuse States of alleged support for terrorism.

He asserted it is time already to end with the double standard on terrorism, a scourge that has to be rejected under any circumstances.

He stressed that measures to eliminate international terrorism must be based on strict respect for the United Nations Charter and the principles of international law and international humanitarian law.
