Pyongyang, November 18 (KCNA) -- A seven-storey pagoda dating back to the period of Koryo kingdom (918-1392) is preserved in the Koryo Museum in Kaesong Ciy. The stone-made pagoda was erected in Hyonhwa Temple in 1020.

The square-shaped pagoda consists of a stylobate, seven-storey body and roof.

The pagoda is 8.64 meters high and each side of the stylobate 3.9 meters long.

The body is made up of stones inscribed with images of Buddha.

The Buddha images have half-closed eyes, crescent-like eyebrows, gentle but sharp noses, firm-set lips and chubby cheeks.
